چکیده
Abstract In social networks, there exist many kinds of groups in which people may have the same interests, hobbies, or political orientation. Sometimes, group decisions are made by simply majority, means that most users this reach an agreement, such as US Presidential Elections. A is called activated if $$\beta$$ β percent influenced group. Enterprise will gain income from all groups. Simultaneously, to propagate influence, enterprise needs pay advertisement diffusion cost. Group profit maximization (GPM) problem aims pick k seeds maximize expected considers benefit with GPM proved be NP-hard and objective function neither submodular nor supermodular. An upper bound a lower difference two functions designed. We propose submodular–modular algorithm (SMA) solve SMA shown converge local optimal. present randomized based on weighted coverage for apply sandwich framework get theoretical results. Our experiments verify efficiency our methods.

Submodular Function Maximization for Group Elevator Scheduling
We propose a novel approach for group elevator scheduling by formulating it as the maximization of submodular function under a matroid constraint. In particular, we propose to model the total waiting time of passengers using a quadratic Boolean function. The unary and pairwise terms in the function denote the waiting time for single and pairwise allocation of passengers to elevators, respective...
متن کاملNon-Monotone Adaptive Submodular Maximization
A wide range of AI problems, such as sensor placement, active learning, and network influence maximization, require sequentially selecting elements from a large set with the goal of optimizing the utility of the selected subset. Moreover, each element that is picked may provide stochastic feedback, which can be used to make smarter decisions about future selections. Finding efficient policies f...
متن کاملInfluence Maximization Under Generic Threshold-based Non-submodular Model
As a widely observable social effect, influence diffusion refers to a process where innovations, trends, awareness, etc. spread across the network via the social impact among individuals. Motivated by such social effect, the concept of influence maximization is coined, where the goal is to select a bounded number of the most influential nodes (seed nodes) from a social network so that they can ...
متن کاملConstrained Maximization of Non-Monotone Submodular Functions
The problem of constrained submodular maximization has long been studied, with near-optimal results known under a variety of constraints when the submodular function is monotone. The case of nonmonotone submodular maximization is not as well understood: the first approximation algorithms even for unconstrainted maximization were given by Feige et al. [FMV07]. More recently, Lee et al. [LMNS09] ...

Applications in control, robotics, and optimizationmotivate the design of systems by selecting system elements, such as actuators, sensors, or data, subject to complex designconstraints that require the system elements not only to bea few in number, but also, to satisfy heterogeneity or global-interdependency constraints; in particular, matroid constraints. However, in fai...
